HOPEFUL SIGNS, pathetic excuse for good news
since when is a 5-th straight week of jobless claims over 400,000 good?
or is an 8-th staight week?
and last week jobless claims was revised upwards
not mentioned, more rosey estimation procedures by USGovt?

anything over 350,000 is badly recessionary and damaging to the aggregate purchasing power of consumers
that is a hardfast axiom in economics

this market is grasping at straws, Scotty
the InfoTech sector is still horribly sick
software sales have slumped recently, joining hardware sales

I find the news gathering efforts to be myopic
why focus on additional housing sales
how about looking at the many housing finance niche stocks???
they are all breaking down from rounded tops
Puplava has done a superb job in featuring this new development
he had a great quote last week
"the rose is coming off the rose-colored glasses"

reminds me of focusing on Cisco or Intel or Uniphaz sales at the top
who cares?
use your effing head and look at signals of a turndown
this is so amateurish in economic reporting

nice news hound work, much appreciated
/ jim
