The lights in the bedroom went out. N went down into the Hideous and Frightening Cellar Hole that I won't go down in alone, and even then I stay near the door in case something frightening and possibly supernatural, but more likely involving a rodent, appears. He planned to do something with the fuse box, which he felt was responsible.

In fooling around with it, he crashed my computer, losing some work of mine, not having warned me, having not meant to touch that fuse.

Eventually he discovered it wasn't a fuse box but this strip I'd bought at the dollar store thinking it might come in handy to expand the numbers of outlets in that room. This is a 200 year old farmhouse, not exactly to code. Like, "code" means nothing here, it's amazing we haven't burned down, especially since we have the wood stove going all winter.

The house is really falling down disgracefully. I was going to do something about that this summer but life intervened and then the wife of the guy who was going to do the work had an affair and he is divorcing her and is so upset he forgets to return phonecalls, which plays into our desire not to bother anyway. Soon it will be too cold. Oh well.

I spat out a bunch of stuff about the verb "to lie," and enjoyed it, but after I did it, I thought, Sheesh, this will all be on the net, and clearer.

But oh well again.

Oops, Survivor is on.
