An unusual bird. I didn't even know anybody could still speak Latin. I thought it was one of those dead languages that basically only existed in writings.

I am going to be stepping out for awhile. I am not sure if I will be back until Monday. House will remain open as usual. Enjoy yourselves. A new shipment of wine, butter, cheese, sugar, and gin is due somewhere around 4 p.m. That should tide you over until next week.

Do I have any volunteers to keep an eye on Laz?

I had a math teacher in N'Awlins, Miss Lush, red faced, big, blustery

she was never quite put together right - her slip showing, the blouse untucked, run in her stocking, buttons undone, etc....

and she had the worst lisp I've ever heard

thircles, thircumferences, thymmetry, thequence, tholve and tholution, thquare root, thum and thubtract were only some of the terms that drove the class into hysterics

I've never met a person since more glaringly unsuited for their vocation

but oh, the joy she brought into math class, still makes me smile
