but cloak it in a nice velvet glove--something this administration seems constitutionally incapable of doing.. Agreed. And the failure to use the velvet glove is a failing I can't understand. There was absolutely no need for Bush to make a major doctrinal policy speech baring the titanium fist. Fortunately there are enough gray-hairs around him to contain the more aggressive impulses.
