Dave,

I think the lady has explained herself quite clearly (as in crystal)

The way I understood her explanation is this is a thread of traders, hence we trade according to the direction of the markets, we read the news based on the understanding "how will the news affect the markets". One's particular point of view may be expressed once or even twice... but over and over it gets tedious.

Besides, and independently of the morality of your point(s). My perception of the majority of participants in this thread is that ---> simply ----> this is a trader's thread.

I am not asking you to zip it, I am simply attempting to give you the perspective of what I believe is the majority.

Should you want to pursue the debate on the right or wrong of the system, then there are other threads that cover that angle.

The weekend is nearly over, therefore... I think is due time for refocusing on what this thread is about... trading.

I am sure that in other threads, your debate will be seen as a positive contribution, (independently of the specific views you may hold)

my .02 cents

p.s. all other issues such as "proofs" and "bets" and so on... could be taken to PM very easily

so you don't think that cleaning up the system is the proper thing to do?

Just what do you think you have been witnessing this market do for past 1
1/2 years ? <G>

I would say it it is purging itself quite well , from an insane valuation level , and Gut Trader has kept quite a graphic & darkhumored diary of it here :
Subject 37509

As for analyst recomendations I must have posted here over 100 times that any Robertson Stephenson's
"Upgrade" was 100% of the time a ---->Short . And they all
were , and where is Robbie Stephens now ? How about KBRO ? LOL...Anyone investing their money in any decade from the 1920's on without their own DD , is asking for trouble ahead.

It was running joke on this thread for so many months , I'm sure you couldn't have possibly missed it ? <G>

Capitalism is simply the raising of capital for whatever business venture you want to name . You can raise captital to put a greasy MacDonalds in Tienemen Square and a pack of Marboroughs in every Chinaman's shirt pocket,
(because we all know that cigaretts are non-addictive becausethe CEO's all told us so in masse in front of a Senate panel all under oath....while they were growing superstrains of the most highly addictive tobacco in secret farms in Brazil)

You can raise capital to build out 90mil miles of fibre-optic cable of which almost hardly 5% is now in use , but for all that , you have been left with one of the fastest richest content and communications networks that will go on to unite the world's global village and allow for the sharing of knowledge & conducting business, the like we have never seen or dreamed before . Technologies that were only available to the miltary or NASA before , now right at your fingertips...there is much good to still to come from it , but as for your "poor investors" , they might now harken to Warren Buffet , and learn to do their own Due Dilligence when in investing their "hard-earned" money from now on.

So the monkey's reach exceded his grasp in the beginning and the "Oaklahoma Land Rush" of Cyberspace went quite a bit awry with greed ....oh well Dave , you should have checked out the decade before the Bubble 90's ...or the decade before that .

I can remember Detroit fighting against mass-transit systems and lobbying and pushing their massive smog-machines to major cities , just at the time we need to go a different route ....and was a billion dollar disaster for the cities that went the wrong way . Yup , good 'ol American Capitalism at it's finest ....you were old enough to be alive back then too I'll assume ?

And how big is your SUV 4x4 ?
(Or do you drive an electric hybrid ?)

;-)

PS: You made one good call on SYMC dip and bounce weeks ago ,so why don't you do some follow-up dailys and make some calls for that one stock for the good people here from now on , and start a thread for all this other self-serving BS , OK ?
