For the thread: If someone gave you 5 million dollars and told you to invest it, but you could not keep it in cash, money markets, or under 1 year Treasuries, where would you put it right now? There are so many opinions -- is there really a "foolproof" place or fund where the principle is at zero risk if you leave it in this place or fund for long-term, and you can also make more than 5 percent? At the end of 5 years, if you lost money, you lose your life -- if you make less than 5% compounded annually, you get $5,000 for your trouble -- if you average more than 5% compounded annually, you get to keep all the money.
