I'm in Jersey and will vote for Toricelli

Ahhh, a "Yellow Dog" Democrat! You are up early John. I am watching Tom Friedman on "Tim Russett" on CNBC. As you know, very interesting guy. His Book was the reason for the interview.

Your earlier comment about my review of the Vietnam portion of Elliott's book is off, I think. You were probably very involved in protesting Vietnam, I was pretty passive during the entire experience. My thinking on it has been due to my reading the last ten years. So any disagreement would be of an academic nature, not due to our Politics of the time.

The Talent-Carnahan race in Missouri is still too close to call, from what I can find. It would be interesting if Talent won, but the Dems retained a majority for 2003. The Repubs could use their temporary control of the Senate to not only run the budget through, but to ram through some Judges. Oh, Politics!

JohnM,

How could you possibly vote for him? I understand that your a Democrat, but Toricelli?

That would be like voting for Helms, just because I generally like republicans.

Is Forrester a serial killer or something?

John

Well, John...at least I had to read your post twice. I'm surprised (shocked might be too strong a word, but close), to say the very least about your thoughts on Toricelli.... to vote for him would be akin to voting for Jimmy Hoffa here.

In addition, hopefully the Democrats won't be griping for nothing getting done. After all, John...you just said why it isn't getting done (Federal Judgeships just being stonewalled, for instance...)

Second, because divided government makes their actions difficult if not impossible.
