John has recommended the ABC site, and I agree with him. I think John believes that the Anti-War speeches by the Dems will energize the left in the party, and attract swing voters. I think it will lose swing voters.

Yes, I do think it will energize the left. But I also think the public views on Iraq are terribly unformed, that the Bush folk have played their PR campaign very badly with all the talk of a preemptive doctrine rather than simply arguing they needed to go after Saddam and leave it alone at that.

My terribly leisurely approach at coffee times around town suggests the moderate Republicans have problems with the new policy. How's that for anecdotal evidence? ;-)
