I have to make an effort to get my daily dose of veggies but there are definite limits to the amount of effort I can muster for this purpose.

Exactly! They just don't taste good enough to work at it very hard if you ask me.

I once told Original Wife that I would eat veggies if they were prepared like at really good restaurants and brought to me and fed to me every day while I was relaxing. She (correctly?) interpreted this as a plea for daily waitress service and told me I should make them myself. <g>

Moral of the story: Never ask the beneficiary on your life insurance to bring you vegetables.
