The sky is falling...............

Rande, I have followed you for many years and I must say you seem to be at your lowest point in forecasting the future possibilities. Talk of looking at states that we may move to to protect our personal properties is at the very least extreme. So far I just cannot buy into the concept..............however if it is what you believe please keep the drumbeat going.........If true I will follow at some point...just not ready to throw in the towel yet............

Be well,

Mike

Excellent post. I do like the idea of a list of things that would point to an improving economy.

>>My fear is that the "spiral effect" that happens with a shrinking economy, tends to gain momentum much like a flushed toilet. So the question is: "in which part of the flush are we currently?"<<

That statement pretty much sums it all up...so, how do we figure out if we are at the beginning, middle or end of the flush...from a contrary view I see many hints that would tend to mark a bottom. However, as with the bubble, extremes can go on for extended periods of time, and we could fall much further, putting even more pressure on the economy.

Unfortunately, the market may only stop going down when everyone 'knows' it's dropping more. I think we are close to that point...just not sure how close...
