Dear Ken: That is a position, the problem I see with it is what if Saddam does in fact get is hands on a usable nuclear device. How much more difficult would it be to extract it from him? Would we dare even try. There is no doubt he would blackmail his neighbors and if he had a way to deliver it and wipe out a major American city more lives would be lost in that one incident then we could ever lose in a war with him. I think we ALL want a coalition, including Bush, but it would appear the best way to get one is to convince everyone one way or another its going to happen. Now, I say Saddam is ONLY agreeing to even these limited inspections as he does in fact fear AMERICA will stand by its word. If we accept a crumb will that be enough? From what I hear in the news Saddam is still going to deny access to many places in Iraq and even those he allows will require advance notice. On top of that only 200 inspectors in a country the size of France searching for mobile sites? Sounds rather impossible to me. jdn
