... thank you, John ... and what's the idea of giving me a reasonable response ... <G> ... have you ever thought that perhaps the underlying plan by Mr Bush, his cabinet and his staff is TO EMPHASIZE THE IRAQ ISSUE, AT THIS PRECISE POINT IN TIME, as a political diversion from home economic issues with congressional elections just a month away? ... ... Mr Bush has been in office for 21 months now, and until about mid-August, Iraq was talked about by the administration as an important issue, but never with the sudden urgency of recent weeks ... ... I know you like and trust Mr Bush ... I would feel more comfortable if I could believe that he was not being manipulated by Mr Cheney and other staff ... ... There does seem to be a simple and decent honesty about Mr Bush that I like ... If he is the real man that I hope he is, he will hold off attacking Iran without UN support ... for the U.S. to go it alone in Iraq could easily lead to a much more chaotic and hostile world than we have experienced in many decades ...
