"For example, people who call themselves, personally, "spiritual," are certainly not detectibly more "good" than others;"

No. THIS is why I consider it a world view which does not necessarily comport with character (although it may with aspiration in individual cases). Nor is it necessarily sincere--you damn cynic, YOU! ;-)

Interestingly, my experience with "spiritual" people has mostly been with women. I like to cozy up with women, but with men I prefer to talk about driveways and such. For women the experience may be the opposite. Most "spiritual" women I have known just wanna be kissed... ;-)

Hi E,

I've got a question for you. Let's say you meet someone at a dinner party, a woman with whom you hit it off quite well. After a number of hours, she turns to you and says "You know, E, I haven't hit it off this well with someone new in quite some time. You're a very spiritual person."

What would your reaction be?

This has happened to me. I'll share my response later.
