Funny, I thought you guys were missing the point. LOL!!!! If you buy into the notion that people are all operating by self-interest all the time and that that's basically an OK if not a good thing, then you have to deal with what to do about people turning that into a cult of pleasure seeking. Operating in the Rand mode, it's easy for the weak of character to degenerate into selfishness in the negative sense. But it's not a deal breaker. It's also easy for the weak of character in your paradigm to fall back on the forgiveness of others and of God to excuse their bad behavior. Each system needs mechanisms to minimize the damage from those of poor character.
