________not purposefully suicidal," he said a few days ago. "He's unintentionally suicidal. We've seen that repeatedly. He's by nature aggressive, risk taking, a constant miscalculator.*
He's also an incurable optimist,** assuming that no matter what the situation he will come up with a scenario that will work."

Fill in the blanks. Sounds like another world leader I know.

"Control of the gulf," Mr. Pollack said. "At some point, he may want to invade Jordan, Kuwait, believing that his nuclear weapons will deter the United States from intervening because we will not want to risk his using them. With nuclear capability, he will feel emboldened that he can use force again regionally."<<

Golly, I feel pretty special.. Especially since I've been saying the same thing FOR FREE... not as a paid pundit (not that being paid to give one's opinions is inherently wrong).

Does Pollack address the demographics of the region, in addtion to the growing economic hopelessness that many muslims feel??
