The personal stuff going on with Clinton at the time must have really made it difficult to get peoples attention on these issues. Just too many distractions. I'm certain you notice it, Bill, but it might help others to underline it. Tek didn't point to the Lewinsky business as distracting. His comment is actually, to my mind, more condemnatory than that because it's an observation about an ongoing and often remarked upon Clinton trait, too much attention to political polls. Having said that, my guess is this Bush is almost as bad, just has plausible deniability in Rove.
