I think he'd disagree with you.
He was possibly singing the same tune as you last year until Jeter made that spectacular cut-off and nailed him at the plate to save the game in the ALDS. (Was it the deciding game 5?)

Jeter is a winner. It's his professional attitude that the team feeds off of.

I'm not sure as to why you are picking on a defensive play or two from last night's game to present your case.
His fielding percentage this year and is higher than Nomar's as is his career fielding percentage.
