As a woman, I take genital mutilation of girls more seriously than you do, probably. But the Nigerian government isn't doing it. In fact, it's against the law in Nigeria.

The discussion is rather whether or not there is a real cause to attack Iraq or not, specifically, whether or not the regime in Iraq is any more repressive than some others on earth which the US does not consider attacking.

Zonder, if you want to set up the discussion you must do it on the arguments actually being made. The question is not whether Iraq is "repressive" -- of course it is -- but whether it is a threat to US interests and US citizens. It will be attacked not for internal repression but for the threat of external agression.
