I think 82 is too early, because it was pointed out to me by some of the residents in my parents' retirement place that 84 seemed to be a real threshold age; a lot of hale and hearty people who were still able to travel and have fun and not think all the time about their ailments suddenly, between 84 and 85, started breaking down. So I think you should raise the age to 84.

But there were a few people there who were clearly still enjoying life well into their 80's. Health is all. And having your buttons. But temperament is too. A lot of old people are depressed. But if you're cheerful and philosophical, why not carry on? If we have our eyesight, we can watch Big Brother 443 and Survivor Mars.
