But the King's English is not spoken in society much. I do find it hard to conform to the normal expectation of language, particularly the expectation of expeletives. And I also find it very hard to make the small talk that society expects of me. So yes, it is hard to conform linguistically to the expected societal norms.obey traffic signals My daughters are forever ragging me about rolling stops, not signalling turns, and the like. I have gotten used after 20 years of driving on the island to drive safely (I have never had an accident or so much as a parking ticket in over 40 years), but I don't signal the turn onto our side road when nobody is in sight, as is almost always the case, and I don't come to a full, complete stop at certain 3-way stops where I can clearly see there is nobody else remotely near, so yes, I do have trouble obeying the traffic laws.wear appropriate attire depending on setting I definitely have a problem here. I wear casual clothing evereywhere except in court, where I need to wear a coat and tie by court rule, and I do so not for the purpose of conforming but because the judge will sanction me and refuse to let me represent my client if I don't. But I go to business meetings without a coat and tie, wear an ancient, battered and stained hat everywhere, where Birkenstock shoes which are definitely not "appropriate" dress, and don't own a suit that fits me. So yes, I do find it hard to wear appropriate attire.eat with proper cutlery, I eat in the English fashion, which keeps the fork in the left hand at all times. This is very anti-social and contrary to the norms of my society, which dictates that I cut the meat with the fork in my left hand, put down the knife, transfer the fork to my right hand, and eat with the fork in my right hand. I reject this social duty, and go my own way. And I often prefer using a salad fork rather than a dinner fork with my dinner. adhere to conventional standards of grooming? I get my hair cut by the cheapest barber, comb it only with water, and seldom if ever comb it during the day. It certainly is not conventional grooming. I wear a beard, which is not conventional. Looks like you struck out on that list.
