S. Smith - Thanks for this. The interview is quite interesting.

Parts of it are rather strange, though. For example, there is this continuous mention of a "Kurdish government" and even a "Kurdistan". I am very curious to see where this country is located. As far as I know, Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria are neighbours, and between those countries there is no "Kurdistan".

I remember seeing a few mentions of a "Kurdistan" in some rather dodgy media, not more credible in their ways than those that print maps of a separate Basque country. It makes me wonder just how well this journalist did his homework, if he didn't really know the region well (as in, which countries ARE there?) and if he was being led on by the people he interviewed.
