We might could send the carriers sooner than December if we needed to. The article has them scheduled to be deployed in December, but it only takes a couple of weeks to get from here to there, faster if through Suez.

If Bush says go, we could be there in less than month.

USS Truman was in Key West, but now hightailing it to Norfolk and thence to "parts unknown." CNN et al had the USS Truman departing in December. Looks like maybe the schedule was moved up?
