I agree on the stimulus, Jim.

I think also the fed govt. could cover the state deficits, thus preventing about 50B next year in cuts. We don't need cuts in spending right now...

I remember reading, during the Depression, the fed govt.
thought they should keep cutting spending, as we spiraled downward. It fed on itself.

We have lower interest rates, but I think they could go lower. Together with some stimulus, and immediate tax relief for everyone - not just the wealthy, we could start
to see a boost to the economy - and that helps us all.

This bear is now the longest since the Depression, according to figures I heard this weekend...I think it's time to do more.
