Well, don't forget that a rather large amount of money has already seeped out via lower stock prices.

But not to worry--if Mr. Bush gets a Republican congress, they'll legalize putting SS money into the market (not to mention hastening their cherished tax cut and bombing the shit out of Iraq until Saddam says Salaam) and all will be saved.

Hi Peter, Like a swim in Lake Superior, people's portfolios are suffering from serious "shrinkage."

It has to be tough to rationalize selling out now after so much damage has already been done, but that's the way of the markets.
