No bread
No alcohol
If he said no sex, that's a prescription for suicide.

IMO. ;-)

I'm not allergic to it, but fresh yeast is definitely a headache trigger. And I LOVE good bread. Oddly, the yeast in supermarket bread doesn't do it. Not that fresh, I guess. But I don't WANT supermarket bread, except for for the kind of toast you put under a poached egg. A few good loaves don't have a lot of yeast, and they don't create headaches. There's the most wonderful bread bakery in Portchester, NY (I've mentioned it before; I'm going to White Plains next Wednesday, and will drive the extra way to Portchester just to stock up on their Sunflower seed bread, the poppyseed onion loaf, and the Provolone bread. I won't get croissants or brioches, I won't i won't i won't.) Anyway, their sunflower loaf isn't a headache one for some reason. The others are. I should eat the Provolone in the car parked in front of Portchester Hospital Emergency Room. Lots of yeast and aged cheese oozing out, too.

Was your friend's problem headaches? That's a no yeast, no alcohol situation, for some people.

What a screw deal I got. Everything good I'm not supposed to eat. Though N always comments on what a cheap date I am. You know how much a martini is in a New York City restaurant now, and not a top of the restaurant, either? -- $8. or $9.

Of course parking the car is from $25. to $45.

(I'm not really complaining about my lot in life. What are a few headaches, compared to what people go through?) (Okay, I was complaining, but I retract it and am ashamed.)
