I am for the elimination of the estate tax. It doesn't provide a lot of money because most of the middle class doesn't have enough wealth to be hit by it and the truly rich usually can avoid it but it does hit the slightly rich. In general I am against taxes on accumulated wealth or at least any such tax that isn't simple and with very low rates. The estate tax is complex, tons of resources go in to just getting around it, and it has a high rate that hits all at once often forcing family owned businesses to sell or go under. Tim
