I understand you support higher taxes on the "super rich". Even though I disagree I wasn't challenging that at least at first. I was challenging your idea that tax increases on the rich are always good, "no matter what the economic conditions" and no matter what rate the rich are paying. If it is always good that most of the tax cut should not go to the rich and most of an increase should be on the rich, and you apply this standard of what is good then sooner or later you have 100% top tax rate. I don't think you actually support such a rate but the logic of your statements if applied rigorously, leads to them.
