It's a great book too - American; Re vacuum cleaners ... Sigh. Had exposure to this kind of organized religion (not too uncomfortable to be honest) in Canada, with the Methodist neighbours. The pastor (25 years, 1 kid plus 1 on the way) tried his best to save us, but then got booted by the church elders - probably says "underpar when it comes to burning lips characterstics", or something to this effect, on his report card. Switched to door-to-door insurance policies after that ("Brother, do YOU believe in the healing power of this piece of paper, do YOU believe it will dispell the darkness, encroaching on your retirement?") It all brought sisters Bronte into a little different light for me. RegZ dj
