Sure you can. A MACD Divergence is one of the strongest signals in all of Technical Analysis. Take a look at the October 1998 low of the Nasdaq. Price broke below very serious support near 1465, then rallied like a bat out of hell for the next year-and a-half:

We almost had one on 9/24 and again on 9/30. I played them both but they didn't pan out, so instead of making a lot of money, I only made a little. When I see another one shaping up (there may be one soon on the weekly), I'll take it again. If it catches, I'll make a lot of money; if it doesn't, I'll only make a little. The risk/reward on these is terrific.
