Hi Carl - re: using violence to end violence. As a woman who is being raped or a child who is being beaten whether it's morally ok to do nothing because you "don't want blood on your hands."

One does not have the moral right to initiate force. But when force has been initiated, one has the moral right to respond. Further, when force has been initiated against those whom one is oblitated to protect, one is morally obligated to use force to protect them, as well.
