Is Bashar Assad in violation of a peace treaty with the US or UN? Does he slaughter his own people? Does he fire at US and UK aircraft every day? Does he provide safe harbor and funding for Al Qaeda? Is he developing weapons of mass destruction? Has he invaded his neighbors? Is he intent on seizing the world's oil supply? Has he threatened the United States? Has he attempted to assassinate a US president? Does he have nuclear weapons capability and is he a threat to transfer it to terrorists who would target the US? The answers are no. Comparing Bashar Assad with Saddam Hussein is intellectually dishonest.
