The last is a SO issue, which has a AAA insured counterpart doing ok. In fact, the little bit of AAA stuff I have is holding up quite well compared to my equity positions. I may get that bond/stock ratio into better balance if this keeps up. <g> You know, I've been thinking about the whole right/left demo/republic classification thing. I think we are indoctrinated in school to think in terms of these classes. Possibly adopted because at one time probably simplified things? But it is somewhat limiting, and I'm almost ready to compare it to brainwashing. Once a kid decides he is a 'republican', for example, he can just adopt the party line on issues without much thought. Perhaps kids who aren't well indoctrinated in thinking in terms of prebuilt groups develop individual positions on issues. They must be an enigma to the masses, as they will make a statement that suggests they belong to the liberal eco lover class, then later make another statement that puts them in the opposite camp. There is a book, by the guy who wrote Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (which I've not read) who wrote a book called Lila. Which I did read. I rather enjoyed the trashy sex relationship and living on the boat part of it. At one point, Lila tells her new found guy friend, that he cannot know her because he is too busy projecting onto her who he thinks she is. Due to this tendency to try to pigeon hole everything. Some cud I've been chewing on.
