Interesting that the article ignored the sale of non-core hard assets that raised $420 million which was reported last week for the fourth quarter. It also ignored the other valuable hard assets for sale. However, it keyed on the JV's even though Elan seems to be forgiving debt for a future royalty percentage on a number of them. It ignored that Elan repoted they had in excess of $600 million in cash on 9/30/2002. It also ignored that Elan's drug delivery technology has value. Rob
