I think BE's point is that Saddam is supposed to have allowed inspections 12 years ago. And has successfully evaded them for 12 years with no additional consequences. So when he says he will allow them, what we really have to look forward to is years of BS, games, ruses, denials, propaganda, and accusations from him. Meanwhile any will to do anything about it fades. Just as it did last time. So somewhere down the line you end up here again.

We have already given him TWELVE years, my question was "How much longer?". Do we "de-weaponise" Iraq now or wait until he kills tens of thousands or more Americans? Tough choice, damned if you do and maybe damned if you don't.
