Why are a few -1000 TICKs so important to the downside when we get crazy +1000 TICKs as a matter of course in any given trading day. Sorry if the question is a little sophmoric, but I've never understood that...especially amidst a bear market trend.

Considering the 10+% haircut GE took after the downgrades, how much more will they get hit for bad/no guidance tomorrow? The brokerages already as much as said they're counting on bad numbers.
