Base metal stocks may have bottomed this week.
Many are doing very well today, especially the
copper stocks like Freeport McMoRan and Phelps Dodge.

Noranda (who may eventually buy all of Falconbridge) and Teck look most interesting at the moment to me, but throwing some money into INCO would also be OK. Last time base metal stocks looked good to me was September 2001, when most ran up nicely until June 2002, but many are now back to September 2001 levels.
