O.T. Hawkmoon, don't you think its wise to contain all sources of radioactivity. Of course, it would be wise to start with the more radioactive sources and work down to the less radioactive sources. Since granite is more radioactive than depleted uranium we simply must provide containment for the rock in the Canadian shield.

If that task is daunting perhaps we should start with all those fashionable granite countertops.

Depleted Uranium-238

It is so easy to dupe people about radioactivity. The Anti-Nuke types have been getting away with it for years. I would like to set one of them down next to a box that has a radioactive sign on it, and tell them, "Hey, don't worry about that, it only has a half-life of one hour!"
