GOOD TLM CREDIT NEWS:
Reuters Market News
S&P comments on Talisman Energy Inc
Friday October 11, 12:04 pm ET
(The following statement was released by the ratings agency)
NEW YORK, Oct 11 - Standard & Poor's Ratings Services today said Talisman Energy Inc.'s (Toronto:TLM.TO <http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=tlm.to&d=t> - News <http://biz.yahoo.com/n/ca/t/tlm.html>; BBB+/Positive/--) announcement regarding the downward revision of its 2003 production estimate would not affect the ratings or outlook on the company. Furthermore, the current ratings and outlook on Talisman do not anticipate, nor are they contingent on any material asset sales such as the company's operations in the Sudan; however, Standard & Poor's would assess the credit implications of future divestitures should they occur. The change in the short-term production profile, in which 2003 production will remain at 2002 levels, is not sufficiently material to influence the ratings on Talisman or the outlook in the short term, and the company's 2003-2005 growth targets remain in line with Standard & Poor's expectations. In addition, Talisman's strong performance in recent years has enabled the company to outperform the ratings and it has developed a cushion in the ratings to account for unforeseen negative events.

EP just hit $6.36 - up almost 20%. Still believe there's quite abit of upside. The chart sure looks nice with little resistance until $9.
