I honestly think the Administration has done a good job with the economy. The problem is the Stock Market. There are simply two graphs Republicans would need, to convince people: One a graph showing the Nasdaq (from the late 90's till now - down ~80% in three years) and superimposing the Dow Jones (late 20's to early 30's -down ~90% in three years). Graph two, show the unemployment rate increases during the same periods (now - 4% up to 6% then - ~4% up to 25%). Showing when Clinton left and Bush entered on the graphs, would be a nice touch too - the changeover was a time where unemployment had already began increasing, the economy already entering into (or in) recession, markets crashing for nine months, and the default of CA largest electric utilities. If you really want to lay it on, I suppose one could mention when Enron, Global Crossing, and WorldCom started funnying the books.
