Tomas, Thanks, I know about the AGA table.

I believe its still early in the game to get back into the E&P companies. The equities are (not surprisingly) lagging the natgas futures developments by a long shot. See a 2 year graph of the XNG index here:

finance.yahoo.com^XNG&d=c&k=c1&a=v&p=s&t=2y&l=on&z=m&q=l

Despite the fact that the 12-month natgas futures strip is up to the same general area it probably was a year & a half a go, the XNG index is at half the value it was then.

I believe a lot of folks are still waiting for some indication (other than long-term forecasts, which we know are of little use) that this winter will not be another warm one like the last.

Its very encouraging to hear of the forecasts for heating demand over the next 2 weeks. We seem to be getting off to a good start.

Maybe it was posted on this thread, but somewhere (Raymond James?) I read that the recent low injections of NG may be partly due to shutdowns in the GOM on account of hurricanes.

In that case, obviously, there could be a considerable increase as better weather prevails, despite the early cold snaps. I am holding steady with NG positions using Canadian producers such as PEL.TO and the Canadian trust, NCN. Also hold BR.

The good thing about investing in energy is that it always comes back, unlike some of these tech start-ups that go obsolescent in a year or two and diappear. You can lose money temporarily, but it is hard to lose money in the long run on energy.
