<Pretty soon, at the rate we are going with interest rate, stock and real estate prices, we will revert to a world of gold trading, as in "daddy daddy, what do you do?" and "er, eh, I trade gold". ">

Jay, that seems reminiscent of early Y2K. "Oh, I'm a day trader. Quit work a few months ago and am making quite a bit day trading on Biotelecosmictechdot.com Limited".

July 2003:

"Yes, I'm a gold trader. Day trader actually. I go into the office set up by Gold's Great Incorporated, goldsgreat.com and I trade, settling each day and going home with the profits in actual gold. With gold going up each day, I take home less and less gold, but it's increasingly valuable, so I'm really making heaps!! With the actual gold in my possession, it's as safe as houses."

Jay,

Where do you go to hear people talk about Chinese stocks in English? I did not see any link on boom.com

Does the Hong Kong exchange cover most of the stocks traded on the Shanghi exchange?

I noticed that the SZSE B is down over the last year but I guess it looks good compared to NSADAQ:
