“ How dare you link anything from the Weekly Standard? "

As has been mentioned by the open minded folks on this thread, most opinions are welcome in the context of any given debate. However, what I find most interesting is the politicizing and accusations of such with respect to just about any opinion brought forward, whether they are American or not. Can’t some people understand that there are actually people in the world who base their opinion/evaluation on what they perceive is right or wrong, and not what is left or right?

Being a centrist in thought appears a vastly minority position here, whereas in the " REAL "world,it is centrist thinking(and voting) that most often carries the greater influence, with those entrenched being crusaders for persuasion in hopes they will lean in their direction.

Has it come to this?Has it come to the point where “ your either for us or agin us “.

I hope not, because if it has, America will have re-defined democracy along with its foreign policy.

PPS: Also at that site you will find references to the political aspects of the selection process. They make no apologies for the idea that politics DOES weigh on the selection process as it pertains to waging peace - not war. This year Joe6P was educated to that fact.
