A little shooting funny. Two of us were hunting when the other guy raised some quail, 3 shots and not a feather, then more got up and he missed 2 but one locked it's wings and went into a wild rose bush. He didn't see it. We crossed over into the pasture and I looked into the bush and the quail was dead. Instead of telling him this I walked on another 50 yards and yelled behind you Doug. Of course he didn't see anything. I did a quick draw of my revolver and shot once. Then I walked over to the bush and produced the dead quail shot from the hip at 50 yards on the fly. It was a dirty trick and 25 years later I still haven't told him.
