Jeff, you mentioned the word they several times in your last post. Who is they? Do they have names? Do they meet in the cafeteria before the market opens and plot their daily strategy on how to screw us? Or are they the natural market forces at work? Or is they somewhere in between? Maybe a few big brokerage houses acting in unspoken collusion to drive prices one way or another based on their inventory of stock and options at the moment. Or maybe spoken collusion? Just wondering. I never worked on Wall Street so I am unfamiliar how things really work. I agree there is a they though, but I am not sure who they are or how they do it.

Jeff,
I believe tomorrow is super tuesday where all the big banks have their earnings before the market opens. Not expecting a lot of good news there and the potential exists for some ugly surprises. That said the sector has been wrecked lately so it may be priced in.

Jeff, can you tell me if there is any significance to the last two sticks on this chart?

stockcharts.com[h,a]daclyiay[pc9!c13!c20!d20,2!h.02,.20!c50!f][vc60][iLa4,9,5!Lh5,5!Li10,10!Lp14,3,3!Ll14!Lo14!Lb14!Le5,10,1]&pref=G

I'm short the stock till close to zero, but I'm just curious.

TIA

ork

i guess it comes down to just how much juice do they have to play with?

i don't see anyone outside of a few (frankly) desperate people on the boards and the usual clowns on CNBS buying into this "rally"... and they've already been burning their own powder for three days. two of them genuinely spectacular days.

ramping from either INTC or MSFT i can see, ramping from both i have a little more trouble believing. and of those two it seems an easy call that they'll ramp MSFT, if for no other reason than softie reports later in the week and they get to go into the weekend looking strong.

your plan A seems the most likely to me.

then again, maybe they ramp on INTC, greenie cuts rates, then ramp through MSFT. if that happened i'd have to call uncle and bail on my puts, lol.

jeff,
sounds as if you're not so sure of that 1000 target anymore.

what if they ramp with both INTC and MSFT....then retrace high targets are in jeopardy....and if they ramp till friday....and they could...that would mean next week would have to dump from a high level to 1000.....that would put that 1000 target in jeopardy....unless something real bad happens.....

What # takes off the retrace?

Thanks
