Re:In cases where the terrorists are making demands which also have local popular support, such as the IRA, or ETA or the PLO, giving into the demands only after the terrorists attack does send the unmistakeable message that terrorism works. What's so hard to understand about that?

It is rather difficult to understand, and not only due to your incomprehensible jump from "improving the population's lives" (my statement) to "giving in to terrorist demands" (your statement). Nowhere have I said anything of the sort.

> Bullsh-t Arafat was about to let go of anything.

His opposition might disagree with you.

> <I?So I gather you support a full and permanent Israeli reoccupation? Seriously, it's the only way Sharon could improve their conditions.

Another incomprehensible leap of reasoning - "improve the population's living conditions" (my statement) vs "permanent Israeli occupation" (your statement). I truly don't know how to respond to this.

>Arafat's PA is a government that doesn't even provide social services to its people.

Yes, what a shame. He should be burnt at the stake :) It might be a little difficult to "provide social services" to his people when he is holed into his little building, incommunicado with the outside world, under heavy bombing most of the time, though :)
