I agree with the volume issue. Obviously with advancement has come respect for human life by MOST of Western society as oppose to some of Middle Eastern/African/Asian societies.
It is also a function of wealth. In my travels to Africa and Asia, I have found that middle class/wealthy people generally tend to have the same values as us, regardless of the religion.

In the end, taking a culture to a new level of intellectualism is the only way to solve the problems the world has.

It goes back to my point. Are the perpetrators of evil crimes Christian/Islam/any other religion, or is society not? Is a "true" Christian "better" than a true Muslim?

My answer is none of the above.

You really are an ignorant broad. The US government, under the authority of your immoral hero, slick willy and his willful abettor, reno, murdered the Davidians, not the other way around. Please try to get at least one fact straight in your posts. Goodbye, i.e., ignored.

Name one other society, western or otherwise, that considers the EDUCATION of 50% of its population a subversive act. Or one where certain groups are not allowed to provide for themselves and their families by working. In other words, the *betterment* of a whole group of people is outlawed!! In the name of God, of course

I assume you are only referring to Saudi Arabia in terms of society and women as 50% of population ??

You have your occasional Waco incident in the US... society dismisses this as a fringe element disaster and the media talks about the catastrophe for YEARS... innocent lives lost, how could we have handled it better, etc. vs. the muslim scenario where women are being brutalized and in some cases murdered DAILY.

Care to elaborate on the similarities between Waco and it's Islamic counterpart?
