Attacking Iraq will not make a difference in their strategy but it will vastly multiply the number of recuits to the cause.

BTW the odds of a US atack on Iraq may be much less than you think and hope for. This could be the a "peace rally" in the market now.

...in all due respect Doug (nice to see you back !) - I think it does in two very large & significant ways:

1. The sponsorship and the FINANCING of terrorism.

2. His ongoing development of nuclear & bio weapons of which he will have no compunction in lending to other Terrorist groups - for them to due his dirty work.

Saddam has and will at the very least, UNQUESTIONABLY play a sifnificant role and threat in those areas.

Cut off the Financing and the monster dies, or at least slows to a crawl; giving us time to hunt them down.
