Don't fall into the trap of trying to make up what the author meant and then state it as fact. I doubt you know what the author meant- he might not have even known himself. Their liturgy is changed, their rules have changed, and while it is a dark age, it is a new dark age. I don't think they ever call themselves Catholic. That might be a hint about what the author meant to say. If he doesn't use the word, if the word is lost, is it the same Church? It is a church certainly, but is it Catholic? A real question about that, I think. You find it all very obvious. Well, too bad for you, I think.
