Lizzie: Hawaii lags the boom/bust cycle considerably. We appear to have a bit of a bubble going now and it might go much further, but something tells me that when 3 of my entry level office staff have gotten their RE licenses in the past three months, we are nearing the end within 6-12 months.
I doubt very much that Japan is done getting rid of their properties here.
OTOH, there is only one Hawaii as you say.
