There is a neat site that has a "population counter" for most countries, and one of the fields is for Births since January 1, 2000. For Pakistan, the counter number passed 12,675,000 this morning:

For the United States, the number this morning is just past 11,060,000:

Russia's number is below 4 million. The interesting thing about Russia is that its total population is now less than Pakistan's by several million people. Most people wouldn't guess that, even after the breakup of the USSR.

Saudi Arabia comes in fourth in both total population and births since Jan. 2000. But its rate of births is far higher than Russia's.
